In addition to the Christmas markets, you'll see such iconic places as Neuschwanstein Castle, Mozart's birthplace, Dachau Concentration Camp, and so much more! Travel insurance is optional but highly recommended.  You will have an opportunity to purchase travel insurance toward the end of the online registration phase before making your deposit.  Our travel insurance partner is Trawick International, although you are welcome to shop around and purchase whatever seems right for you. If you choose not to purchase travel insurance at this time, you can always add it later in your WeTravel "Manage Booking" dashboard. NOTE: "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR) insurance can only be purchased within 21 days of paying your initial deposit. Non-CFAR insurance can be purchased up to 24 hours before trip departure.

The Participant or Parent/Guardian may cancel this Agreement and the Participant’s inclusion in the Tour at any time, subject to the following: The Participant or Parent/Guardian must mail a signed, written notice to MHI in order to cancel this Agreement and the Participant’s inclusion in the Tour. This morning, discover the charming old town of Lucerne on a guided city tour with an English-speaking guide. Afterwards, enjoy a scenic train journey from Lucerne to Basel, passing through picturesque Swiss landscapes and charming towns along the way. Upon arrival in Basel, soak in the festive atmosphere of one of Switzerland's most beautiful Christmas markets. Stroll through the warmly lit wooden chalets, admire local crafts, and savor seasonal treats such as mulled wine and roasted almonds. Lunch and dinner are on your own today. Overnight in Lucerne.

Travel to Zurich for a guided walking tour with an English-speaking guide. Visit the Lindt Home of Chocolate, where you can indulge your senses with sweet delights. Later, immerse yourself in the festive spirit at Zurich’s Christmas Market, one of the largest indoor markets in Europe. Lunch and dinner are on your own today. Overnight in Lucerne.

Depart Lucerne and enjoy a scenic drive through the Alps to Seefeld in Tyrol, a beautiful mountain village known for its cozy winter atmosphere. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Central in Seefeld.

After a relaxing morning, enjoy a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride through snowy landscapes to Wildmoosalm Restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, travel to Innsbruck, the “Jewel of the Alps,” for a guided city walking tour. Explore the enchanting Innsbruck Christmas Markets, nestled beneath the Golden Roof and framed by snowcapped peaks. Enjoy dinner at the historic Stiftskeller restaurant, then return to Seefeld for the night. Overnight in Seefeld.

Embark on a full day excursion to the fairy tale Neuschwanstein Castle, whose towers and turrets inspired Cinderella's Castle at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Enjoy scenic countryside views along the way. Return to Seefeld in the afternoon. Lunch and dinner on your own today. Overnight in Seefeld.

After breakfast, embark on The Sound of Music Tour, retracing the footsteps of the beloved film and enjoying stunning views of the Salzburg countryside. In the afternoon, visit the Salzburg Christkindlmarkt, one of Europe’s oldest and most atmospheric Christmas markets, located in the heart of the old town. Journey north toward Germany, stopping for lunch at a traditional Bavarian beer garden in Munich. En route, visit the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site for a moment of reflection. Continue to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of Germany’s best preserved medieval towns. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Rothenburg.

Spend the morning exploring Rothenburg at your leisure and soaking up the festive atmosphere of the famous Rothenburg Christmas Market (Reiterlesmarkt), where centuries old traditions meet cozy holiday charm. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Afterwards, join the Rothenburg Night Watchman’s Tour (pending seasonal schedule), a captivating and humorous walk through the town’s medieval streets led by a costumed guide who brings the town’s history to life with tales of knights, merchants, and daily life in centuries past. Overnight in Rothenburg.
